Fontastic
I’ve entered a new realm of geekdom today: I’ve started making my own fonts and glyphs.
Back in the mid-80s, my guy at the time made for me on his Mac an entire font alphabet with which he’d write me fairytales. The gesture made me swoon. Guess I was a geek back then, too, eh?
Anyway, now I’m an all grown up geek and making ’em myself.
I had checked out fontifier, but I wasn’t totally pleased with the results. Don’t get me wrong… It’s a quick and easy tool at a great price ($9!). I just needed more fine tuning than what it allows.
Here’s a sample of what I’ve managed to whip up, thanks to High-Logic’s software and my Intuos tablet. It’s called Regina’s Peeps, and I’ve still lots to add. (I’ve also started tackling my handwritten alphabet font.)
Go, me!
(Apologies in advance to my poor victims friends. Ha!)
