:)
Things that have made me smile today:
1) Sofia, of course. She had her first “physical therapy” appointment today. It’s been said that she doesn’t appear to really need it, but she qualifies for it based on her birth weight and gestational age at birth. And, of course, I want to give her every advantage possible.
“Therapy” basically amounts to an hour of playtime with her “friend” Gwen once a week. Sofia seemed to have a lot of fun playing with the toys from Gwen’s bag of tricks, and Gwen showed me lots of new ways to assist Sofie with achieving her developmental milestones.
2) In the mail, I received two incredible prints from super-nice and super-talented Wanda Kujacz:
Holes are missing … for rabbits and Unexpressed feelings
(please click images to enlarge)
Love-love-love her work.
3) Slingshot flying monkey with screaming sound:
4) Phone call from Karen, just to say, “he-e-e-y!”
5) This crazy-ass story. I dvr’d it last week when it aired on Sundance, but just got around to watching it today.
Now, I’ve totally hearted me some peppermint magic soap for a looong time (I used to bathe my kitty, Grau, in the Eucalyptus variety… totally left him smelling fresh, and he never had fleas), but I always wondered about that Moral ABC crap written on the label.
Gotta say [nut job]… after watching it, well, um [crackpot]… I’ll just say that if I ever ran into son Ralph [wacko], I KNOW he’d leave me feeling kinda tingly all over in a not-so-fresh way. (But, since he gives soap to everyone he meets, I’d ask for a bottle of the Almond, and then just wash the creepiness away. (I am a sucker for free stuff.))
A few times while watching, I was inclined to stop and delete it, but I couldn’t… like, in that can’t-avoid-looking-at-the-accident-on-the-side-of-the-road way.
I gotta give props though to the grandsons now in charge. They are leading the industrial-use hemp movement; in 2003, made the company the first in the US to use 100% post-consumer recycled bottles; and in recent years, have given away over 70% of the company’s net profit.
‘Twas a wild ride Dr. Bronner had on Spaceship Earth. Can’t make this stuff up.
6) Kerrioke informed me she’s home! (Now if I can just convince her she’s neither too tired nor has too many chores and can join me on a craftalicious adventure this Sunday…)

So, I have no idea why I was not hipped to the existence of YOUR blog until recently! But it’s never a bad thing to come to a blog belatedly; that way, I can gorge on the whole thing in one blog-readin fest!
I was gonna invite myself to Felt Club w you and K, but she says she can’t make it. And I need to stay home and spend no money the rest of this month.. but I hope you go. Some of the very awesomest crafters will be there … helloooo Cathy of California! Funchicken! Yipes, it’s a who’s-who of crafty.
