Week half full
July 27th, 2007
Okay, some of this week’s good stuff:
- I’m excited to be getting my craft on with Wendy, Kerri, and Elyne. I plan to start tackling our first project this weekend.
- My Adobe CS3 order arrived! Gonna install it tomorrow and play-play-play.
- I had fun working on my poster entry for the Avocado Festival. I’ll drop it off tomorrow and see what happens.
- I stumbled upon the existence of Maurice. What a cool concept! Love-love-love.
- I read about these shirts that Macy’s was carrying, but suddenly stopped because especially-sensitive people began throwing down the racial discrimination card.
Personally, the moment I saw the “Brown is the New White” shirt, I fell in love. I had to find this shirt! Frickin’ hilarious. (It’s okay. I’m allowed to say this, since I’m brown and all.)
Well, since Macy’s is no longer carrying them, gotta go to the manufacturer’s website.
Wish I had the cojones for this one:
- My Maggie Taylor book arrived. I have admired this artist for a long time now. Absolutely inspiring. I want to be her. Her husband, Jerry Uelsmann, is amazing, too. I miss having his calendar on my wall, although, the following year’s Lee Friedlander calendar from MoMA’s 2005 exhibit rocked, too. The Japanese woodblock prints just aren’t cutting it this year. If only I could find a Ralph Eugene Meatyard calendar. [sigh]
- My concert tickets to see The Cure at the SB Bowl in October showed up today. (Tim totally wants to go… Sorry, El. :( )
- Patmo is catching up on Scott Baio VH1 series, so I’ll *finally* be able to gab about it with someone.
