Zaca Fire continues…

It was nice to see a little blue sky today after the past couple of days of gray ashy haze and thunderheads of smoke from the Zaca Lake Fire. Friday was especially intense, as ash fell like snow all day in town and on campus. Not the best conditions for Fiesta.
InciWeb has had the best info by far regarding fire updates. Also, here’s a Google map that’s been tracking it.
The estimated containment date is September 7, 2007. Wow.

www.inciweb.org sounds great except that the site won’t load. Did their server crash from too many referrals from “Regina Rivera — the blog”??
Doubtful. :) Totally annoying, however, that the site was down after touting it! Seems to be back up again now.
