Stuff from my in-box, 16 Nov 07
I had taken today off from work in hopes that I could blow through my house like a cleaning tornado and get ready for Sofia’s first birthday party tomorrow. Unfortunately, she ended up having a rough night last night, and wanted to sleep most of this morning. So, she’s ended up staying home with me. And I’m getting NOTHING done. Figured I might as well goof off a little on the computer while she explores her kingdom on her hands and knees.
Here’s some stuff in email today:
1. Do I dare?
I was just commenting to Tim the other day about how much Sofie seems to enjoy banging on things (especially with her feet) and making noise. It clearly brings immense delight to her. And this looks SO cool!
(Voices of Reason, here’s where you come in and save me.)
2. Other cool tchotchkes and chingaderas at Cool Mom Picks.

3. We could have been a nation of turkeys. I wonder if we then would have had eagle for Thanksgiving. (Eagducken?)
4. Catalog clutter. I get a reeeediculous amount of catalogs. In the past, I’ve tried calling to cancel many, but still they come. Consumer Reports blogged about Catalog Choice, a new website trying to help out us deluged individuals. I signed up. Let’s see if it helps.
5. Lancely Olstrong is not. Whew.
6. Confirmation for the December Champagne and Cheese tasting at C’est Cheese. Should be great… especially since Wendy and Geoff will be in town to hit it with!

Thanks so much for the CMP mention - but I think even more so, thanks for the no catalog info. My house is starting to look like one of those ones you read about where some crazy person dies surrounded by 800 million catalogs and newspapers from like 1874.
#5 Whew indeed!
Cleaning tornado? What a GREAT description.
