Wow! Thanks for letting us know about the grand opening for sweet buttercup! I was in town visiting my sister and we decided to go to the grand opening. The cupcakes were delicious! I had the red velvet and the black cherry! Both were soooooo good! I took some to go. My niece will be having her sweet 16 next year and I am definitely considering ordering cupcakes from sweet buttercup for her instead of having the traditional cake.

First, my wife Amy makes the best red velvet cupcake. bu if you want to get great red velvet you can buy, Stone World Bistro (yes of Stone Beer) has a terrific red velvet cake (no cup involved) on its desert list often.

Second, Bella Dolce will be great if Eileen can ever open--she's had a hard time with financing, difficult to believe, I know, with the economy so good. Yes, she did do our wedding cake. But everything I've ever had since baked by her has been as good as that day. And that's good.

To quote Mr. Homer Simpson: "Mmmmm, cupcakes."

God those sound delicious! I would totally eat like a psycho at the tasting and then use the elliptical machine for 99 minutes to try to burn off some of the calories.

It would be worth it.
