Love, thy name is Saskia

This weekend, I fell in love. HARD.

Allow me to introduce you to the ‘Saskia’ bag by Chloé.

I showed TREMENDOUS restraint during my and Lisa’s (window) shopping excursion on Friday to the South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa. The Chloé boutique had the bag at 50% off. Alas, that only brought it down to $850.

Love makes a gal do crazy things. All weekend, I had to ask Lisa to keep talking me out of purchasing it. Not really having the need, let alone the moolah… common sense flew out the window the moment I laid eyes on it.

I’ve had my bag radar on for a good year and a half. Saskia was the perfect size, snuggling up perfectly at my side. The lucite handle insouciantly hinted at its je ne sais quoi style.

Now, here I sit, back in Santa Barbara, dreaming about the bag that got away.

Saskia, we’ll always have Costa Mesa. ::sniff sniff sigh::
