Dream man

Who is this dream man?!
Most mornings on my drive to work, I see this incredibly dapper guy on his orange Vespa, sporting a suit of some chocolate heather tweed variation. I assume he smells of cedar, clove, and bergamot. I forgot to draw in his backpack, so squint and pretend it’s there. It’s likely holding something like this sleek, anthracite Sigg thermos, keeping warm is french pressed Illy, ground fresh each morning.
He heads down Turnpike, then makes a left at the stoplight to continue down Hollister. Wonder where he’s going.
I’m transfixed every time I see him. He is a man who could rightfully hold a place among my harem of dream men. As such, he’s the type of guy who in actuality I would probably never want to be with. No way could my frumpalicious self stand next to such savvy style. I’d just look even more frumpalicious. Ya know gals… like in the way we don’t want to be with a guy who’s prettier than us.
HOWEVER, that is not to say I wouldn’t welcome the orange Vespa into my actuality. I’ve wanted a Vespa for, like, forever. My color choice though has varied, from light blue with a cream colored seat to orange with beige to chocolate with tanned leather. I began to more seriously look around for one a couple of summers ago, but then Sofie decided to come along. Perhaps I should have named her Vespa.
(Btw, orange and green are my favorite colors.)
I need to resume carrying my camera everywhere I go. My camera phone consistently takes crappy photos. So yeah, I’ll start carrying my camera and try to snap a photo of Orange Vespa Dream Man. In the meantime, I provide you with this visual I drew this morning. (By “drew” I mean created with a graphic tablet in Photoshop.)

You drew that? Amazing, my friend - a great artistic talent in you there is! [Yoda style]
I totally agree with kerri. Artistically speaking, I am not worthy!
I would love to hear what a stranger imagines when he or she sees me. Of course I would want it to be flattering, like your image of Orange Vespa Dream Man.
I’d like to know what details they filled in for me. OH! Maybe that’s a post at my pad, what I’d like people to imagine versus what I really think they are imagining.
I guess you’re an awesome artist *and* a muse.
Please, you two. You BOTH are fantabulous artists!!
I have to say it was great to take time out that morning to doodle. I need to do more of that. Perhaps we should have an art challenge soon? :)
