Hands-on art

November 28th, 2008

Before I head to bed (which I should have done a few hours ago), I just want to throw up this post. I’m hitting the road in the a.m. I fear it’s going to be a looooong drive from SB to San Juan Capistrano, being Black Friday and all.

BTW, I stayed up so late, waiting for apple.com to “open” to see if they were going to have a sale on iPhones. Nope. Nada. Denied. No discount. :(

Anyway…

I saw these books tonight and think they sound like a great concept. I think Sofie would love ‘em.

Cranberries + Port = mmm

F&M Cranberry Sauce

As of today, one of my new favorite things is Fortnum & Mason’s Cranberry Sauce with LVB Port.

A month ago, one of the shopping deals I stumbled upon was free shipping and a $15 discount toward any purchase on Fortnum & Mason’s website. No minimum purchase was required. I purchased the cranberry sauce, in anticipation of the upcoming holidays, and Fortnum’s Beer Mustard. The whole order cost me $1.

So, this cranberry sauce. The label states: Compulsory with turkey, though sadly illegal with swan. I state: amazing. Tim declared it the best cranberry sauce he’s ever had. The sauce managed to have a fresh fruit taste; the cranberries were assertively and deliciously tart and lively. The sauce reflected a truly reduced essence of cranberries and port. Absolutely stunning.

Now if you’ll excuse me, it’s time to raid the fridge, grab one of Tim’s homemade potato rolls and smother it with the cranberry port sauce.

Wishing you all many things for which to be thankful. And I’m thankful to you for taking time to read my ramblings. xoxo
